Introduction
HKEdCity's English Campus continues to provide a free, online, self-access English learning platform. These materials are based on TVB Pearl's local English news.
 

Objectives
Encourage students to learn English via authentic and multi-media online resources and in a fun way
Enrich students' English vocabulary and enhance their listening skills
Increase students' awareness of social affairs in HK
Enhance their self-access learning and IT skills

News Practice
Experienced English teachers design online exercises on vocabulary, listening, reading and writing
Recommend listening strategies and online resources for students' self-access learning
Keep each student's work in a personal profile and teachers can view and monitor students' work and give them feedback online
Provide Awards Schemes to schools and students to encourage more participation and higher scores
News Practice Updates:
News exercises and quizzes will be updated every Monday and Thursday by 2.00p.m. from 15th Oct 07 to 29th May 08
No exercises and quizzes will be updated in the following holiday periods: 23rd Dec 07 – 1st Jan 08, 7th-9th Feb 08, 21st-24th March 08, 1st and 12th May 08
Application:
School application and HKEdCity's school account are needed. To apply for the practice, please click here. To apply for a school account, please go to Join Us. Because of limited resources, there is a quota of school application and priority will be given to those schools who could commit more classes to join and more practices to be finished.

It houses English news online to provide easy access and frequent watching of them.
A Student Forum is formed to introduce topics for discussion and encourage students to express and share their views on Hong Kong's social issues with their peers in English
