  FAQ

B. Individual learning record and report for students
1.

Why does my teacher say I haven't finished an exercise while I have?

Ans.:

To finish an exercise and log a record on the system, you need to answer the questions of the 'Watch' part and click the 'Submit' button.

After submitting the answers, you will see your scores and the correct answers of the questions. This means you have successfully finished the exercise and we have your record.

2.

How can I view my learning record?

Ans.:

Please go to 'My Profile'. You can see the vocabulary items you have added in 'Vocab Book' and your reflections in 'Learning Log'. To see how you have scored in each exercise and the ranking in your class, please go to 'Performance'.

  FAQ

C. Reports for teachers
1.

How can I view my students' performances?

Ans.:

There are several types of reports for Junior and Senior level respectively:

Submission Status: Teachers can see whether students in different classes have finished the exercises.

Real-time Report for Exercises / for Quizzes: Teachers can see an overall report of students' performances and their ranking within a class, as well as give feedback to class.

Monthly Reports: Teachers can see a detailed report of whole school / whole form / individual student' performances. It is available after the 8th day of the following month.

2.

What does the 'tick' sign on the Submission Status mean?

Ans.:

It means the student has finished an exercise, i.e. they have submitted their answers to the questions in the 'Watch' part.

3.

My students have finished all the exercises as shown in the Submission Status / Real-time Report. Why isn't the Monthly Report reflecting this?

Ans.:

While the Submission Status / Real-time Report reflects the real-time situation, the Monthly Reports only reflect students' activities in that month.

For example, if a student did a January exercise in February, their results will show NOT be showing in January's Monthly Report.

If teachers are using TVNews as a school assessment, it is suggested that they tell the students to finish the exercises within the month. This way, students’ performances will be reflected in the corresponding Monthly Report, while students with late submission can be singled out.
